Caterpillar Train is a concept train designed by Dr Ashwani Kumar and Emil Jacob. It envisages a citywide network of lightweight, elevated train coaches running at about 100 kmph on a track supported by poles bent into arches.
The Need was to 3D Print an architectural model to highlight the functionality of this innovative design. The model needed to be precise and accurate to the micron level with no scope for error.
We decided to model a city intersection and highlight the C Train in practicality along with its Vertical Depot concept. Showcasing a C train stoppage station to represent the applications of this design. Using IOT and 3D Printing created an entire model to bring this concept into the physical realm.
The caterpillar Train is an innovative and revolutionary idea and we aim to bring it to reality.

A Scaled representation of the innovative Caterpillar Train, the model was made using 3D printing which is the reason for its immaculate finish and micron accuracy. The model was created with extreme precision and in a span of 6 days.
